Volunteer Opportunities in June

Last date was Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 from 1:30pm to 4:00pm (CT)

About

Volunteers like you are essential to providing food for Oklahomans living with hunger. We are so happy to be welcoming volunteers back! To ensure the safety of all volunteers and our staff, we are implementing the following steps when you check in through the Volunteer Center entrance:

Because the Regional Food Bank is not requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination, all volunteers and staff are required to wear a mask while on-site.
Volunteers will be allowed in one by one and greeted by a volunteer coordinator.
The Volunteer Center staff will ask each volunteer several COVID-19 screening questions.
Next, you will receive a temperature check. NOTE: If your temperature is more than 100.4 degrees you will not be able to volunteer.
Volunteer coordinators will check in each volunteer for ;that shift and direct them to an assigned volunteer station.
Volunteers will be social distanced while volunteering and we ask that you follow directions of the Volunteer Center staff.

Note that for now, the minimum age requirement has been moved from 8 years of age to 12 years.

Volunteers will enter through the Volunteer Center entrance, not the main entrance. Please look for the double doors toward the north end of the building with the Volunteer Center sign on the building.

Through this on-site volunteer experience, volunteers like you sort, pack and prepare food for a variety of Regional Food Bank Programs. Activities may include:
Assembling sacks of nutritious food for the Food for Kids Backpack Program
Packing Commodity Supplemental Food Program boxes full of food for seniors living on fixed incomes
Tagging bags

Because the Regional Food Bank's inventory changes daily, the Regional Food Bank cannot guarantee volunteers who sign up to work in the Volunteer Center will pack and prepare food for a specific program.
