Moore Food & Resource Center, a program of the Regional Food Bank, provides food and resources to Moore, Norman and South Oklahoma City residents.

In addition to providing food, the Moore Food & Resource Center connects clients to a variety of resources, such as medical and dental care.

Volunteer opportunities at the Moore Food & Resource Center include:

  • Client Support - assist a client in a one-on-one setting to help ensure a first class experience
  • Sorting/Stocking - maximizing quality and efficiency in providing food to clients
  • Client Intake - helping clients check in and providing additional resources to the client

Volunteers must be at least 8 years old. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Requirements

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift starts.  If you show up after the shift begins we won’t be able to get you through the orientation process. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. All children age 8 – 15 must have an adult over the age of 21 stay with them on site to volunteer or an adult group leader if the children are here volunteering with a group.   All children age 8 – 17 must have a parent permission form signed and all court appointed community service volunteers need to fill out their community service agreement before coming.    If for any reason you cannot make your shift please email or call at least 72 hours in advance so that we know exactly how many will be here to volunteer.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding volunteering at the Moore Food and Resource Center, please do not hesitate to call or email.
